Upcoming Exhibition

My MA Fine Art graduation exhibition

Letting Go: Traces of What We Keep

will open to the public in Amsterdam on March 7 & 8

In Letting Go: Traces of What We Keep I transform primarily donated, everyday and unexpected materials — from human hair to tennis balls and belt buckles — into large-scale sculptural works. The gallery space becomes an immersive environment that invites you to look differently at the objects that surround you. The installation encourages reflection on the emotional value we attach to things and the physical and ecological traces they leave behind.

📍 Ruimte 59–61, Laurierstraat 59–61, Amsterdam
🗓 March 7 | 6–8 PM (Public Opening)
🗓 March 8 | 11 AM–4 PM

The exhibition includes a collaboration with poet Yvonne van Hest, whose writing responds to the work and shared stories.

On Sunday afternoon (1–3 PM), there is a Drop-In, where visitors can bring an object, share its story, and see how it may live on in future artworks and poetry.

Sunday March 8, 1-3PM

We all hold on to things that once meant a lot to us — objects filled with memories, emotions, and stories — yet now they quietly gather dust. Do you recognize this? Have you ever wondered why you still keep them?
As part of the exhibition Letting Go, we — Myra & Yvonne — invite you to bring one of these objects and share its story with us. Together, we’ll reflect on its meaning, its journey, and its impact on both our lives and the planet.
We will transform your object into future art and poetry and keep you updated on its journey. So bring it with you, and leave it with us to let it live on in art.
