Life Reimagined
Trained as a macroeconomist, Myra developed her painting practice alongside an international career in medical technology. For many years, creativity remained a parallel passion — something nurtured quietly alongside professional life. In 2023, she made a decisive shift, choosing to place artistic practice at the centre of her life and work.
Returning to academia, she embarked on a Master’s in Fine Art while continuing selected board and advisory roles. This transition marked not a departure from her past, but a reorientation — bringing analytical thinking, global experience, and social awareness into her artistic process.
Today, her practice centres on sculpture, installation, collage, and repurposed materials, exploring ecological responsibility and our evolving relationships with objects across cultures and communities. Working with found and donated materials, she reflects on cycles of use, memory, and transformation.
Maintaining a nomadic studio practice, Myra works and exhibits between Türkiye, Singapore, and the Netherlands, drawing inspiration from diverse landscapes and ways of living. This spring, she will graduate from Falmouth University’s MA Fine Art programme in the UK and present her solo graduation exhibition in Amsterdam on March 7 and 8, 2026.
