The Art of Reinvention: A Global Journey From MedTech to the Visual Arts

Educated as a macroeconomist, Myra developed her painting practice alongside a long international career in medical technology. In 2023, she pivoted with the goal of establishing herself as a visual artist with a professional practice. She returned to academia to pursue a Master’s in Fine Art, while continuing with board and advisory work.

Her work now centers on sculpture, collage, and repurposed materials, exploring ecological awareness and relationships to objects across cultures and communities.

She maintains a nomadic lifestyle, working from studios and exhibiting in Turkey, Singapore, and the Netherlands—an experience that allows her to draw inspiration from diverse cultures and different environments.

This spring, she will graduate from Falmouth University’s Fine Art Master’s program in the UK, and she will present her solo graduation show in Amsterdam on March 7 and 8, 2026.
